In order to provide certain insurance products and services (including providing insurance quotes, insurance policies, and/or dealing with any claims or complaints), BHSI may collect information about you which constitutes personal information under applicable data privacy laws. 2. WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION?
This notice only applies to personal information as defined in applicable statute or regulation. In general, personal information is information about an identified or identifiable individual. Personal information does not include information that has been anonymized such that re-identification is not possible. Business contact information, when used to contact an individual about business, is not considered personal information.

We collect and hold a range of personal information from and about individuals who are insured, or have submitted a claim, under our insurance policies, and applicants for insurance products. We also collect personal information from visitors to our websites and job applicants. 9. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We hold your personal information in various internal systems and databases including shared drives, email, document management systems and in hard copy. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the security of personal information from misuse and loss, as well as unauthorized access, modification or disclosure. After it is no longer needed or required for applicable legal or regulatory purposes, we securely dispose of or anonymize the information such that you can no longer be identified.
10. RETENTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We will keep your personal information only for so long as is necessary and for the purpose for which it was originally collected complying with legal requirements.
