Job Opportunity:
BHSI has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Vice President, Taft Hartley & Public Sector of our Employer Stop Loss division. This role will be responsible for the development of our relationships with Trust Fund Managers, Taft Hartley Administrators customers, prospects, and industry organizations in the region. This role is key to growing the region which covered the Southwest and Northwest Regions. You would also work closely with the Regional Vice Presidents in those markets.
Ideally, this role would be based out of our Irvine, CA, or San Francisco office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop strong relationships with BHSI Taft-Hartley Third-Party Administrators Fund Managers and Trustees.
- Develop relationships with target union prospects.
- Working closely with the Regional VP’s and Account Managers deliver warm prospects and market intelligence.
- Represent BHSI at National and regional Union and Taft Hartley events.
- Build productive relationships with labor organizations and coalitions in the Western Region of the US.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance industry/health care/ancillary benefits.
- Strong communicator with the ability to present product and company value proposition.
- Relationships with third-party administrators, or union staff is a plus.
- Must reside in the Western Region with access to a BHSI office.
- Ability to travel overnight by car or plane – this role will require up to 33% travel.

The base salary range for this position is $170,000 – $200,000, along with annual bonus eligibility. Total compensation for a candidate is determined by their relevant skills, location, and experience.
