Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and curious individual to join our Atlanta or Boston Healthcare Professional Liability Underwriting team as a Summer Intern. This 12-week paid internship offers a deep dive into the world of commercial underwriting.

You will:

  • Learn how to evaluate and underwrite healthcare risks, including senior living facilities and hospital systems.
  • Gain exposure to the insurance lifecycle and the broader commercial healthcare market.
  • Collaborate with experienced underwriters and cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in real-world projects that impact our customers and business.

You will be part of a dynamic and supportive underwriting team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Your work will directly contribute to protecting our clients’ assets and ensuring the profitability of our portfolio.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in math and comfortable with statistics, probability and financial principles.
  • Effective communicator and team player.

BHSI Offers:

The base salary range for this position in Atlanta and Boston is from $22/hour - $26/hour; a candidate’s salary is determined by their relevant skills and experience. We value our teammates – both their capabilities and character – as demonstrated by our amazing culture.
