Job Description:
Join us as a Senior Underwriter for Professional Liability and Cyber in Paris, France and take part in building an ambitious project! The Underwriter will work within the underwriting team to develop a profitable portfolio through relationships with brokers and clients, selecting new business opportunities and ensuring risk analysis and underwriting in accordance with the Group’s underwriting guidelines. The underwriter’s personality and interpersonal skills are highly valued, both for internal and external collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform technical risk analysis and underwriting in strict compliance with the Group’s underwriting guidelines, authorities, and appetite.
- Develop a profitable portfolio of Large Accounts and Middle Market clients in the French market.
- Ensure BHSI’s visibility in this market, actively support BHSI’s establishment as a leader, and build strong relationships with our broker partners.
- Coordinate effectively with all technical, commercial, legal, operations, and claims teams.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our underwriting processes and the development of our products.
Skills and Experience:
- Significant experience in Professional Liability and Cyber underwriting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in French and English.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem‑solving skills in a changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with brokers and clients, and the ability to develop business relationships easily.
- Autonomy, anticipation, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Motivation to join an ambitious project in its early stages.
