Glenn Funk is Actuary, Medical Stop Loss at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance. Glenn has over 40 years of industry experience, most recently serving as Vice President and Actuary at AIG Benefits Solutions. Glenn was Executive Vice President and Chief Actuary of Medical Excess, LLC., and served as Chief Actuary at American Health & Life Insurance Company, General Reassurance Corporation and Anthem Insurance Companies.

Douglas Yates is Senior Vice President & Lead Actuary, Accident & Health U.S. at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance. Douglas began his career at Munich Re America in 2008, working with a variety of reinsurance products in the US healthcare market. He became a fellow of the Society of Actuaries in 2012, and the following year moved to Munich, Germany to work in Munich Health’s actuarial department supporting the Southern Europe and Latin American markets. Upon returning to the US, he moved into an underwriting role, and shortly thereafter assumed the leadership role for Munich Health’s US quota share reinsurance business. Douglas joined RGA in 2015, where he led the healthcare quota share actuarial team, providing analytics and insights for RGA’s employer stop loss clients. He and his team were also responsible capital-motivated reinsurance transactions, as well as a turnkey employer stop loss product for managed care plans.
