Join BHSI as a Credit Control Manager overseeing France and Belgium, based in Neuilly sur Seine, where you will drive key premium collection strategies, manage stakeholder relationships, and optimise our operational processes.
European Credit Control is part of Global Operations. European Credit Control is resourced in partnership with local operational teams and our global outsourcing partner. This role reports directly to the European Credit Control Manager and works closely with the Country Operations Manager for France and Belgium in a dotted-line capacity. The Credit Control Manager is also a key business partner of the Country Manager, local Operations & Underwriting teams. Responsibility for driving/monitoring premium collection across all business lines, including broker, co-insurance and national/international insurance programs. In this context, the Credit Control manager is in regular dialogue with our broker and co-insurer partners. The Credit Control Manager is also responsible for optimising processes, contributing to delivery of system improvements, promoting efficiency and collaboration across all relevant departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive premium collection and cash allocation for France & Belgium
- Manage debt and unallocated cash levels/strategy to achieve branch and European targets
- Leverage/Maintain value-based relationships both internal/external and local/European to influence/achieve positive outcomes and mitigate aged debt/unallocated cash
- Ensure process and best practice alignment to Global/European standards and criteria
- Work with our Strategic Outsourcing Partners to deliver optimised operating model and develop our extended team
- Establish and maintain relationships with our broker and co-insurer partners to optimise payment performance and facilitate prompt query resolution
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years cash allocation and credit control experience in France
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Fluent French and English language skills (Written & Verbal)
- Strong Stakeholder management skills
- Data manipulation and analytical problem solving skills
- Understanding of basic financial reporting
- Understanding of how insurance policies work in coinsurance, co-reinsurance, reinsurance pools
- Experience in process improvement and developing outsourced strategic partnerships
- Initiative-taker with ability to work as part of a diverse team
